I'm a licensed couples and family therapist who works with ages 15 years and up, navigating trauma, identity, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of family and cultural experiences. Authenticity is an important part of healing, and I work to cultivate a therapeutic relationship where honesty, curiosity, and genuine human connection can support meaningful growth for lasting change. My approach is collaborative, curious, and grounded in respect for each client's lived experience. I draw from approaches such as EMDR, DBT, IFS, ACT, narrative therapy, family therapy, and somatic/body-based work to help clients explore patterns, heal from pain, and build meaningful change. Recognizing that each of us bring difference experiences, identities, privileges, and challenges into the therapy room, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to define growth on their own terms.

Mental Health Therapy
"Therapy can offer a space to better understand those influences, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals. Recognizing that each of us bring difference experiences, identities, privileges, and challenges into the therapy room, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to define growth on their own terms. I believe many of the challenges we face make sense when viewed in the context of the relationships, communities, identities, and systems we move through daily. Therapy can offer a space to better understand those influences, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals. Together, we'll explore your external world and internal world. Exploring not only your relationships and systems, but also discovering your identities and nervous system patterns that have helped shape your story."
PLEASE NOTE: Shannon is considered out-of-network for United, Optum, Oscar, and Oxford plans until further notice. Other therapists on our team are available to see clients as in-network.
